The Asolo Prosecco DOCG zone (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) is a narrow area within the province of Treviso, lying between the Asolo and Montello hills. The DOCG denomination certifies the origin of the grapes and the superior quality of the wine. Elis enjoys the Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG denomination, satisfying the high quality standards set by the strict product requirement. The limited grape production per hectare makes Elis Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG a niche product. Thanks to its particular latitude, Asolo enjoys a mild climate. The ideal sunlight exposure and natural water supply ensure an optimal microclimate for vines and a gradual ripening process. The excellent day-night temperature range, given by the proximity to the Grappa Massif, enhances grapes’ aroma and provides a suitable natural acidity. Based on this philosophy, we have substantially invested on advanced machines. All phytoiatric treatments are carried out through a tunnel recycling sprayer, which ensures 40% reduction in products used and 95% reduction in airborne drift and soil contamination. Soil fertilization uses only organic substance, namely manure, every 4-5 years to prevent water eutrophication and to eventually obtain better grape quality. VINEYARD CHARACTERISTICS
